Following the Association Croquet World Championship
The 19th AC World Championship will commence on Saturday 18 October in West Palm Beach, Florida. 72 players representing 15 different countries will be competing for the title.
Robert Fulford [England], the current world champion, will be joined by 18 of his fellow England players as he starts his bid to become world champion for the seventh time. Hoping to join them at the start of the event will be Stephen Allen [England], who will be travelling early to play in the qualifying event ahead of the championship.
Stephen is well known in the croquet community for his exceptional volunteering efforts as a Croquet England livestream director. At the 2023 World Championship he orchestrated the live footage from The Hurlingham Club, capturing the spectacular play from the top players in the world. This year he will be hoping to qualify for the event himself.
Croquet England’s Marketing Director, Paul Hetherington, says “We are all so thankful that the United States Croquet Association will be livestreaming the World Championship. The players, their friends and families will be able to watch the action from afar and show their support. I would like to wish a special good luck to Stephen Allen, one of our own livestream volunteers, who will hopefully qualify and show us his skills in front of the camera”.
