ESTABLISHMENT OF CROQUET ENGLAND

On 28 July 2022, the members of the Croquet Association authorised an application to the Charity Commission to establish Croquet England as a new Charitable Incorporated Organisation. This application was approved by the Charity Commission on 22 March 2023.

Both the Croquet Association and Croquet England will, for some time, exist as separate entities, running in tandem during a transition period.

It is planned to transition the majority of CA assets, contracts, activities and policies to Croquet England such that all major croquet activities in England will be run under Croquet England from 2024. Most activity until then, including the 2023 coaching and tournament programme, will continue as part of the Croquet Association’s activities.

Members of the Croquet Association (which is not a charity nor becoming a charity) will remain members of the Croquet Association for 2023 and will be invited to join Croquet England from 1 January 2024.

This website is being updated during this transition period, but there may be times where pages are out of date, or where ownership of a given activity between the Croquet Association or Croquet England is unclear. In the event of any doubt, the Croquet Association Office should be contacted if it is necessary to clarify whether an activity remains under the remit of the Croquet Association or has been transferred to Croquet England.
